Tenant portal, owner portal and WhatsApp
Three doors into the same records: the tenant sees their tenancy, the landlord client sees their portfolio, and the day-to-day happens on WhatsApp — so nobody phones you to ask what they can already see.
The tenant portal
A tenant sees their balance and payment history, downloads statements and invoices, logs a maintenance request with a photo, signs their lease, responds to a renewal offer and accepts or declines an inspection. Nothing to install. Reminders, receipts and overdue notices go out for you.
The owner portal
A landlord client — or a self-managing landlord's accountant or partner — gets a read-only view of their own properties: performance, income and expenses, vacancies, maintenance, monthly statements and documents. On an agency account the landlord can counter-sign leases there.
With WhatsApp connected, a tenant messages your Mastendi number to check their balance, log a maintenance request or manage their notifications, and receives reminders and receipts — without logging in. Tenants opt in first. WhatsApp is one of the channels, not the product.
Questions
Do tenants need to install an app?
No. The portal is a website that works on any phone; WhatsApp is the app they already have.
Can a landlord see another landlord's properties?
No. The owner portal shows that landlord's properties and nothing else.
Can tenants sign the lease in the portal?
Yes — sign the lease, respond to a renewal offer, and keep the signed PDF.
